This is my first board build. So not trying to show 'best practice'. This is just documenting what I did, on my first attempt.
Wing foil board dimensions 5'3" x 26" volume: 80L
The steps in this video:
Remove peelply/breather
Grind carbon edge back with a sandpaper disk back to the masking tape line (On this board, because of my vacuum step getting creases, particularly around the nose and tail and in some places on the edges, I could potentially have not bothered with the masking tape and the grinding to the line, just had a less even edge, and it may not have changed the final appearance)
Sand out high spots/creases (I made sure areas with bad creases than had quite heavy sanding were covered with carbon again on the deck laminating stage next)
Epoxy filler layer with epoxy and microballoons (primarily to prepare edges where carbon for the deck will overlap on the next laminating stage)
