Funk Grooving Bonham Style
I've been working on some exercises recently to help develop that back and fourth feel between the snare and bass drum that Bonham and many other great funk based drummers use a lot. It's still not perfect, something I struggle with is this weird lag effect that's happening when I do splashes on the hats and then come back into the groove. Still it is sounding a lot better than it did six months ago. I've also got a similar video coming out soon based around the 1/4 hi hat solo section from Moby Dick that Bonham played a lot in the later solos. (Like Earl's Court)
Hopefully I'll get some covers out soon as well.
