Overshadowed by Gary | Lake Station, Indiana
Lake Station, Indiana – originally known as East Gary – is a city that’s been through an identity crisis. First it was Lake Station, then East Gary, then back to Lake Station again. This small city in Northwest Indiana sits directly in Gary’s shadow and tried to ride Gary’s success during the steel boom, only to back away once Gary’s decline became impossible to ignore.
