DETROIT SUBURBS: High POVERTY, Few JOBS, Yet Still Pulling Through | Melvindale
Despite Melvindale being a highly poverty stricken community that's surrounded by polluting industries, the city hasn't seen the population decline that other nearby Downriver Detroit suburbs have. It also doesn't see the extremely high crime rates, the large amount of urban blight, or the numerous corruption cases. Melvindale is definitely not another Ecorse or River Rouge. Although, there was some drama in the police department that I talk about in this video.
