Detroit's Suburban Office Mecca | Southfield
Southfield is a fairly large suburb. In the 70’s it became Detroit's suburban office mecca if you will. Most of the office towers can be found along the Lodge Freeway corridor, which connects Southfield with Downtown Detroit. The most notable office complex in Southfield is the Southfield Town Center. Another notable area within Southfield is the Northland Center, which was... kind of... the first suburban shopping mall that this country saw. Today it's being torn down and redeveloped. Surrounding Northland Center is a dozen or so taller buildings that have lost value over the years. Otherwise, Southfield is mostly made up of single family homes. We'll check it all out in this video.
