Flint knapping hammerstone slabbing
A way to create slabs for flintknapping via hammerstone work. The Kilgore area of Idaho has many rounded obsidian cobbles. A simple method to create a slab is to hold your hammerstone like a punch and use the weight of the hammerstone to run a flake staight through the rock. Useful if you are like me and do not have a rock saw.
