This Arson Detective Loves Burns
Jews, like burners, love fire. Our Sabbath begins and ends with a burn. Attraction to unpredictably dancing flames is primal, like politicians to bribes. Arsonist love fire too, as do many arson investigators. Today I interview detective and fire expert Ilsa Wallich of the Milwaukee Police Department about fire, why she loves it and whether she'd ever travel to Black Rock City to join the Burning Man Community.
