Tajweed Lesson 3- Ezhar
Ezhar means to expose or to show. In tajweed, it means to separate two adjoining letters by stressing each one’s specific articulation point clearly.
If Tanven (ـًـٍـٌ ) or Noon without a harakah (ن ) is followed by the following letters, then the pronounciation of Noon and the letter that follows is clearly distinguished from each other. ( هـ , غ, ع, خ, ح, ا ). These letters are also called throat letters meaning that their articulation point is the throat:
عَذَابٌ اَلِيمٌ , قَوْمٌ خَصِمُونَ
مِنْ خَيْرٍ , اِلﹶهٍ غَيْرُهُ ,
اَنْعَمْتَ , عَفُورٌحَلِيمٌ , عَنْهَا
