Ekhfa
Ekhfa means to cover or to hide.. In tajweed, it is described as the hiding of the pronouncation of the Noon in the Tanven or Noon Sâken, without any merging. This happens when Tanven or Noon Sâken is followed by the following letters: : ت - ث - ج - د - ذ - ز - س - ش - ص - ض - ط - ظ - ف - ق - ك
شَيءٍ قَدِيرٌ , مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ
مَاءً فَأَخْرَجَ , جَنّﹶاتٍ تَجْرِى
مِنْ ثَمَرَةٍ , عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ
