Silver Melting - First Try..

There is a ton of videos of glazing the crucible out there, so no need for another one.. I guess a lot less another one failing melting silver, but I´m maybe hoping for some tips. :)
So what I know (or guess) is that my gas is not hot enough. It is the kind of one time use propane "spray can" that you trash in a safe way after use. The torch that follows is probably not the best either, and I have a feeling that that torch flame is to "big" and should have been more concentrated. Also, I have never tried before, so I might do something wrong..
I´m sure a can of map gas would have been a lot better.. but I would like a bigger and permanent setup.
I was testing a little how far to keep the torch, but more or less at this distance was the distance I felt I got most effect.. still I could notget the silver really liquid.
I got a usable blob in the end, but I would like to melt a little larger amount and I think that would be impossible like this.
Any tips for a decent torch with possibly a propane/oxygen setup? I would also like to use the torch for some simple soldering.. melting the amount of a type of signet ring at the time would be ok.
Also I will be playing a little with gold alloys.. rose gold, green gold and such..
Any tips is welcome :-)
