MT SNEFFELS: ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW
Mt Sneffels is the most photographed peak in Colorado and on Colorado driver's licenses since 2023. At 14,158 ft, Mt Sneffels is the highest #14er of the Mount Sneffels Wilderness of Uncompahgre National Forest outside of Ouray, Colorado. Named after a volcano in Iceland, Mt Sneffels rises 3800 ft above the 4WD Jeep trail and classified as Class 3 due to a short V-notch move near the summit. Through hail and fog, conditions were less than ideal, but still a beautiful and must do hike.
