Is Kagurabachi TOO Perfect? Manga Study
This video spoils the first chapter of Kagurabachi.
Today we’re going to look at Kagurabachi and how it uses KSTK storytelling to format its story and ask ourselves whether or not something can be too perfect by way of sticking too close to the “right way” to do things.
The Kishōtenketsu story structure is basically to Eastern storytelling what the "Three Act Structure" is to Western stories. It's commonly used to great effect in many of the manga and anime that we all enjoy every day, and that's why understanding it can be a valuable tool for anyone who dreams of writing their own stories.
