'Is it safe...?' A question asked in the dying embers of the final cacophonic piece. No. It's not safe. It's not friendly. It's not 'nice'. This world isn't always safe or friendly or nice. I try to reflect that in my music. There are times and places for anger to be the spark, the catalyst, the fuel, and in recent times I have been angry with myself; at inactivity, at difficulties that life and my own brain and aging body throw at me... and eventually, that anger can be turned into motivation, momentum, productivity, positivity, creativity... and of course, NOISE!
This album feels part of a statement of intent, about running with new approaches, a part of the process of self, new and re-discovery. This is why it was also released onto Owlripper.
