ℹ️ ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
"Rock-a-bye Baby" is a popular English lullaby that has been sung to children for generations. The song's lyrics describe a baby sleeping in a cradle that is rocked by the wind in a treetop. The origin of the melody for "Rock-a-bye Baby" is not entirely clear, but it is believed to have been a variant of Henry Purcell’s 1686 quickstep Lillibullero. There are some controversies surrounding the meaning of "Rock-a-bye Baby". According to one theory, the song refers to events preceding the Glorious Revolution in England. The baby in question is supposed to be the son of King James II of England, but was widely believed to be another man’s child. However, this theory is not widely accepted and there is no concrete evidence to support it.
