"I was supposed to feel this overwhelming joy but I didn't have that"
Laura shares how the pressures of becoming a new mother coupled with the social isolation left her feeling hopeless and overwhelmed. Laura didn't know how to talk about how she was feeling given that society tells mothers they should be feeling elated by the change and welcoming of a new baby into the world. Laura shares how PANDA helped her identify the symptoms of Postnatal depression and that there is a whole community of people that feel the same way. There is a notion that mothers should be in control of everything but it's not the way for everyone and that's ok.
