“I think with Mental Health specifically how it’s looked at in the country, it has been slower to change. What we have been through in regards to drought and families impacted by that I think it is getting to a point where it’s turning, the wheel is turning and it’s becoming more accepted to discuss it, but in the country communities it has been somewhat of a stigma.”
Jacob lives in Dubbo Country Australia and has struggled with anxiety and depression for many years. Thankfully he has found support through family and having access to professionals who have given him a tool to help. What gives Jacob hope is knowing that he is not alone in his struggles and that is other people can be helped so can others.
