I typically write the chords, lyrics, and melody on my piano and move the idea into my DAW (either Mixcraft or Cubase). I have found that this is my favorite writing process for songs ♡

𝙎𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣:
This song is about the things someone wants you to know after they have passed away suddenly without a proper goodbye. I wrote this song about someone close to me who passed away a few years prior to me writing it. The end lyrics "I'm closer than you know" are in the poem from the funeral program, and I think it's perfect how they ended up as the last lyrics of the song.
