In 2014, I had seen Guerrilla Midwife. And it was then that I came to know Ibu Robin and I saw Ibu Debra there as well.
And I liked the work. I was very enticed by the work and the premise under which, they were introducing Guerrilla Midwifery. And I just in the back of my head said, yeah, you know, one day and one day became today.
Oh my goodness.
What you will receive is far beyond what is written on the curriculum, the itinerary the camaraderie with women from all around the world. The skill sets, the advanced, this is definitely an advanced doula training. I would, I just think that there are so many facets to it.
and tools that I have gained that I will walk with for the rest of my life. There are so many relationships that I have now cultivated so many connections, even to myself work that I have places that I found myself questioning. How can I be a better doula? How can I serve more fully? How can I take care of myself within my practice?
So there are so many different levels of growth for anyone who is thinking about participating in this wonderful, wonderful program. It's an excellent retreat from the food, from the proximity to to wellness. The encouragement to take care of yourself is, is omnipresent. You know, we have our pool here.
We have our delicious non-GMO foods. Everyone here, no one wants to go to sleep after they eat. Everyone has energy from the singing that feeds us, from the off-site trips that help to cleanse us. And there are so many facets to this. You know, quite honestly, I don't think they charged enough. Because, honestly, because the information that we have received here is priceless.
It is just really why we all take, take this training seriously. We honor all of Ibu Jennie Joseph, Ibu Naoli, of course, Ibu Robin it's just the overall amount of information that every doula, and every participant here brings. It's not just learning from the core. Instructors, but you're also learning from other doulas and we're noticing a lot of similarities and it's enabling us to do worldwide work shoulder to shoulder on a united front.
