This Sonor SQ1 Kit looks super sharp and sounds awesome. The Sonor SQ1 are 100% European Birch shells that are on the thicker side with 45 degree bearing edges. The birch shells, the bearing edges and Sonor's newly designed Sound Sustainer mounting system all work together to produce some truly wonderful sounding drums. All the warmth and sustain you could want balanced with very nice attack, these drums will work in any scenario. We also set up one of our favorite Sonor snare drums with this kit: The Sonor 5.75x14 12 ply Beech Phonic Reissue. This snare sounds great at all tuning ranges and at all volume levels...we just love this drum. Finishing out the set up are some Zildjian K Custom Special Dry cymbals: 14" Hi Hats, 21" Ride and 19" Crash.
