This week we set up a used DW Collector's kit from the early 2000s. The interesting thing DW was experimenting with at the time was all birch tom with all maple bass drums. So the toms have a nice punch to them while the bass drum has the warmer tone of maple.
We thought it would be fun to put a face behind the kit so to speak, so today the person who has owned the kit since the early 2000s, Columbus Percussion teacher Jeff Peters, is helping with the demo of the kit and telling some stories about the gigs and places that this kit has seen. From Ohio State Buckeye football pre-game concerts to the Blue Bird Cafe in Nashville, this kit has been played at some awesome venues. Enjoy!
