Assign / remove material and measure weight : Comparing NX and CATIA commands
Assigning material to a part is very important step in designing. It is helpful to measure weight of an assembly. In NX and CATIA, It’s very simple to assign material. And it’s simpler in CATIA to measure weight and remove material. Let’s have a look in detail.
(Sometimes in NX, “delete all material” command doesn’t work. The alternative is also provided in the video. But even after removing material, if you measure body, the density doesn’t change unless you assign a new material.)
