Old War Stories With Uncle Jay - "You Just Lost A Technician"

Apparently, like everything else at Tiny Middle, this was my fault too. The way the boss put this was wrong, as well as the treatment of the poor tech. Yes, I was subject to the same treatment, but this new guy couldn't handle the constant beratement, day in, day out. And he finally reached his breaking point, which was explosive.
A few days later he came back. I'm sure the boss never apologized, but he took his job back and all was right again. I will NEVER forget the sound he made hitting the bench.
This just goes to show you how tumultuous it was working there. And it was ALL poor management. One time, we had a surrogate boss, while our original was taking care of another store, and man oh man, everything went a lot smoother than it ever did when he was there. That, however, is the subject of another Old War Story, to be told in the future!
