Replacing The Pool Pump Capacitors, And A Quick Test

The new capacitors have arrived, now it's time to install them. It's very simple to do, just remove the wires and put them back the same way on the new capacitors. When removing push-on terminals, it's always recommended NEVER to use pliers to remove the connectors. Instead, use a flat blade screwdriver to pry the terminal connectors off. It takes a little practice but when done right, they will slide right off. By using a screwdriver instead of pliers, you mitigate the risk of causing the connectors to become misshapen.
After the new wires are connected, button the pump back up as it was. Everything was more-or-less a direct fit and replacement. The run capacitor was a bit wider around than the old one, but there was still room inside the housing for it.
