the hobbit ○ chapter 5 ; riddles in the dark
oooh look at this new, so new, new video, new rendering, new movie oooh so new
god please lord make it go away I'm so sick right now and I have no idea why I am literally sitting in my room doing NOTHING but scrolling tumblr, playing AC and vidding and sobbing because of fictional characters and ridiculously stupid celebrities. THAT IS BASICALLY MY LIFE SO HOW THE HELL DID I GOT SICK I didn't go out I didn't meet sick people I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND!
Yeah uhm back to video aaaas you can see this is 'riddles in the dark'-centric becauseeee that was basically the fucking best scene in this movie ok like rly that scene
it's just so atmospheric and brilliant and at some points really witty but also creepy and scary and just impressive I love that scene and the scenes that follow (like the one with the trees and the eagles!) the rest of the movie was ok but I have high hopes they'll do so much better in the next two and that this was sort of the oh-look-at-us-we're-so-funny-haha-funny-dwarfs-burp-haha-food-movie and the next ones will be the and-now-shit-gets-serious-and-it-hurts-because-we-were-oh-so-funny-before-movies.
I remember reading this chapter in the book and my god was I freaked out apart from actually taking 5 days to read 5 pages because I wanted to figure the riddles out on my own (which of course I didn't) and also when Nicky slept over and read the Hobbit a year ago or so this was the chapter she read to me so I could fall asleep oh gosh I'm having feels for my awesome friend right here :]
This is me trying a new rendering setting that I have saved. I really hope it makes a slight difference because most of my movies these days are insane HD-Bluray-Quality and sometimes it just gets ruined so I hope this time it will stay awesommme
