Yeh guess what - after seeing a bunch of really great entry videos from people I adore in my subbox I thought I'd check the contest our and make my own attempt :D
the symbol I chose is R A I N (which I hope is obvious) because in film it is always used as a metaphor which I think is in a way, a symbol as well
of course I wanted to take Mirrors but about 20 people chose mirrors as well and made terrific and brilliant videos sO NOPE BYE NOT GONNA DIRECTLY COMPETE THIS HARD IN THE FIRST ROUND ALREADY HA!
as symbols for rain I chose emotions - rain in movies always has something to do with the characters feelings (love, joy, freedom or anger and confrontation) or is used as a dramatic climax as you can see in all the battle scenes
