here we go with my entry for the last round of the TYS Contest (honestly how did I ever make it this far we shall never know...)

The task was quite unique and really amazing - take a paining and capture the meaning of it in a video. Everything had to be considered very carefully, song choice has to match the paining's atmosphere, topic should be the meaning of the picture and of course aesthetics had to match etc
I thought of this very last minute - I had a few ideas right from the beginning (inspired by my dear friend Sophie) but it didn't seem right until I stumbled upon Last Days Of Pompeii but then I realised that so far in the contest the overall themes 'death' 'war' and 'suffering' were represented already - so yeah I searched for something different.
and of course that led me to my very special ladies, as always.
I interpret the paining in a way that the face becomes the mask and the mask is the face, what's wrong what's right what's real and what's fake? I thought of the femme fatal, of deceit. As a representation of masks I chose make up because you can cover up every insecurity and emotion - I can only hope that that's understandable.
