Art Direct Yours Lights in Octane Faster - Light Mixer Tutorial
Hello, bit of a different video for me, today i'll show you how to use the Light Mixer in Octane.
This allow you to control and change the lights in your scene without refreshing the renderer, saving a huge bunch of time and allow you to art direct your shots more easily.
I stumbled across this, and think it's super useful for those of you who do product renders/dailies, and want to test a bunch of different lighting options quickly.
It utilises the powerful AOV feature in Octane which can be a lot to deal with for a beginner. It''s a great place to start, and begin to understand how much control you can have in post by using these features.
As mentioned in the video, if you want to colour your lights, before you render just make sure that those lights are set to "Texture" and not "Blackbody" - as the the temperature slider will fight with the colours you selected causing some pretty unpredictable results.
