This is an animation tutorial in Maya on how to start blocking out an animation using the Simple Bot character rig and the "pop through" animation method. The tutorial covers the basics of the Simple Bot animation controls, how to use storyboards to plan out your animation, and how to go about setting your key poses using your boards as reference and using stepped animation keys so that you just see your key poses, and no interpolation between them. Maya 2011 is used.
