Alice's Downtime Diary: Tixel around the eyes
Here's my experience with Tixel, a one-off treatment I tried in 2017. If you haven't heard of Tixel, it's a unique tweakment described as 'a waffle-iron for your crow's feet' by Dr Tapan Patel at @phicliniclondon
Tixel uses 81 tiny titanium rods, heated to 400°C, to create controlled burns that stimulate collagen and elastin production for smoother, fresher skin.
I had the treatment around my eyes and eyelids (with 23% lidocaine cream – not comfy!). Post-treatment, I looked like I had a pink eye mask, with puffy eyes for a couple of days.
Three weeks later, the results were impressive with noticeably fewer wrinkles around my eyes!
Recently, expert Lee Garrett @thecosmeticskinclinic mentioned that a heavier treatment would result in longer downtime but even better results.
