Stop spraying perfume on your neck! Perfume makes the skin more sensitive to light, leading to brown and red spots along the neck over time, a condition known as Poikiloderma of Civatte. It’s caused by UV exposure, similar to other patchy pigmentation on the face. The good news? It can be treated with IPL or laser to break up the pigmentation.
As for perfume, try applying it behind your ears or on your wrists instead – and don't forget to protect your neck with sunscreen!
*Poikiloderma refers to changes in skin pigmentation and blood vessels.
