Jesus' letters to these three churches reveal where YOU stand today. This is His urgent warning to the modern church.
SARDIS - The Dead Church (Revelation 3:1-6)
A church with a reputation for being alive but spiritually dead. Jesus warns them to wake up, strengthen what remains, and repent before it's too late. Only a faithful few have kept their garments undefiled.
PHILADELPHIA - The Faithful Church (Revelation 3:7-13)
Despite having little strength, this church kept God's Word and didn't deny His name. Jesus promises an open door no one can shut and protection from the coming hour of trial.
LAODICEA - The Lukewarm Church (Revelation 3:14-22)
The most sobering warning of all. Self-satisfied, wealthy, and comfortable—yet Jesus says He will spit them out of His mouth. They're wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked without realizing it. But there's hope: Jesus stands at the door knocking, calling for repentance.
Which church are you? This isn't just ancient history—it's a mirror for every believer today. Jesus still has an ear to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.
