🌄 72 Hours in the Dolomites – First Time Exploring This Mountain Paradise
My first ever trip to the Dolomites and wow… what a dream! 🏞️ I spent 3 unforgettable days in the heart of South Tyrol, soaking up the mountain views, hiking to alpine lakes, and relaxing in one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in.
🏨 Where I Stayed – AMA Stay, Val Badia
I based myself at AMA Stay in the Val Badia Valley, and it was perfect. The views were unreal, the food was delicious, and the spa? Just what I needed after day one’s thunderstorm surprise! ⛈️🧖🏼♀️
If you’re looking for a stylish wellness hotel in the Dolomites, this is it.
🥾 Hiking in the Dolomites
On day two, I set off on a less touristy mountain trail – think peaceful alpine meadows, wooden cabins, grazing cows, and crystal-clear lakes at the top. It was pure magic. 🐮🏔️
🚎 Getting Around – Public Transport in South Tyrol
Every guest in the area gets a South Tyrol public transport pass, which is such a great initiative! It helps reduce road traffic and makes it super easy to explore. We used it to visit Lago di Braies, where we planned to hike the 5.5-hour route back… but let’s just say, not everything went to plan. 😅
🚴🏼♀️ E-Bike Adventure – My Favourite Part
Before heading to the airport, I hired an E-bike from the hotel and cycled back through the forests and rivers to the start of one of my hikes. It was honestly the most fun I had the whole trip — freedom, fresh air, and stunning views. 10/10 would do it again.
