The House passed HB 500 & HB 505 to address protests that turned violent, citing the Cop City riots as an example. Senators took up SB 32, “Alyssa’s Law,” to help schools respond to emergencies. Finally, with rising syphilis cases, SB 46 would require STD testing for pregnant women at their first prenatal exam.
