How to convert images with Apple Preview

In macOS, you can use Apple Preview to convert an image to any of the following formats:
JPG: JPEG Image
PNG: Portable Network Graphic
PDF: Portable Document Format
TIFF: Tagged Image File Format
HEIC: High Efficiency Image Format
JP2: JPEG 2000 Core Image
EXR: OpenEXR Image
To convert an image with Apple Preview:
1. Open the image in Apple Preview.
2. Select File → Export.
3. In the Format: field, select your desired export format.
4. Click Save.
After you click Save, Apple Preview saves a copy of your image in the format you selected.
