The 1992 All-Star Game is best known as Magic Johnson's last hurrah (until 1996, anyway). Despite stepping away from the game following his HIV diagnosis in 1991, Johnson was voted in as a starter for the East, running away with MVP honors on the heels of a 25-point, 9-assist performance that was capped by a game-closing three-pointer over Isiah Thomas.
Unfortunately for Dominique Wilkins, he'd sustain a ruptured Achilles tendon later this evening. He'd be replaced on the East by teammate Kevin Willis. Larry Bird, playing in his final season as a pro, also bowed out due to injury, replaced by Michael Adams.
