Author's Note:
Hey guys, sorry for the late update. Crazy week.

Louis's P.O.V.:
I've had abuse in my life since I can very first remember. My first memory as a child was being beat for wetting the bed. My mum's always been prone to hit me, especially when she's drunk, which is a lot. Her boyfriends used to hit me too. They were worse than mum usually.
My mum and Mark met when I was 10. She started disappearing at night like she always did when she had a new boyfriend. I was used to it; there was a pattern with my mom. She'd meet a guy, start dating him, she'd disappear every night for a couple weeks or a month or so, if they didn't break up she'd introduce him to me, and if I didn't scare him away he'd eventually move in with us or we'd move in with him. It happened all the time. But my mum never married. Until Mark, that is.
Mark hated me from the very beginning. He never wanted children, almost ran for the hills when he found out mum had me. But he didn't. So instead he treated me like shit. He always picked on me while he and mum were dating. He'd tell me to "get lost" whenever he was over, which I was happy to do. I wasn't too fond of him either.
I wasn't too surprised when one night, he was drunk, I broke a dish, and he hit me. I was use to that too.
So when my mum disappeared for three days with Mark and came back with a hangover and an engagement ring on her hand I was pretty upset. I had been looking forward to the day he and my mum would break up but now I was stuck with him. But by then we had been living with Mark for 6 months and I was used to having him around. I did my best to avoid him; I knew what set him off and what I could get away with.
The weirdest part of my mum being married was knowing we weren't going to move for a while. Mum had moved me around every few months ever since I was born. Every time she lost a job, broke up with a boyfriend, or a teacher asked a question about a bruise on my cheek, we up and left. Now we were staying in the same place. It was weird.
But I guess it was just another thing to get used to.

Harry's P.O.V.:
Three weeks. Three long, miserable weeks of not seeing Louis after school hours, not seeing Louis on the weekend, barely talking to him on the phone and having to sneak around to text him. Three weeks of worrying my ass off about him. Three weeks of sneaking out in the middle of the night to meet at a park in between our houses to talk and cuddle and snog under the stars (okay, so that part wasn't so bad). After three long, miserable weeks, I'm finally ungrounded.
I grin and pull Louis along after me through the halls as the last bell rings. It's Friday and I have a whole weekend to make up for my absence. Louis smiles softly back at me. God, I love that. That soft, sweet smile he gives me. His eyes gleaming with adoration for me and how did I get so damn lucky? I see Louis and all I want to do is wrap my arms around him and protect him with everything in me.
I don't even care about all the shit that comes with a relationship with Louis. He's been physically abused and emotionally scarred for so long. The poor boy is just so damaged. And all I want to do is fix him. I want, one day to be able to reach out and stroke his face without him flinching, I want him to be able to smile freely without fear of rejection, I want him to know that with me, he ALWAYS has choices.
I just want to give him all the things he's never had.
Piece by piece I want to put Louis Tomlinson back together.
