The Sentients had won. They had turned our weapons, our technology, against us. The more advanced we became, the greater our losses. The war was over unless we found a new way. In our desperation, we turned to the Void. The blinding night, the hellspace where our science and reason failed.
We took the twisted few that had returned from that place. We built a frame around them, a conduit of their affliction. Gave them the weapons of the old ways. Gun and blade. A new warrior, a new code was born. These rejects, these Tenno, became our saviors. Warrior-Gods cast in steel and furry striking our enemies in a way they could +ever comprehend.
Excalibur was the First
Ok welcome guys this is going to be a new seris on this channel called The Tenno Journal this is going to be about lore and history of warframe hope you enjoy this codex entry for Excalibur shows were the beginning of warframe started.
the Sentients are an alien race that rebelled against their former masters. and not just rebelled. various codex entries indicate that the Sentients were Crushing the Orokin army.
so when they saw that they couldn't down on the sentients. so in desperate measures, they fled to the void. were they called on their people referred to devils and monsters. these were the tennos they turned the tide. pushing the sentients all the way out of the system. the orokin council had likely already decided that if the tenno won. they'd be put down. We were too dangerous, too powerful. if they hadn't decided beforehand the fact that a relatively small group of children achieved more then their military could it scared the Orokin.
the Infestation was created by the Sentients to combat the Orokin, and in return the Orokin created two classes of the Tenno. Those like the Stalker used slash weaponry to fight the Infested, while those elite (player) Tenno was outfitted as strike teams to take out sensitive targets.
A COOL THING WITHIN THE GAME WHEN YOU GO TO THE DERELICT THE THING YOU SEE YOUR SHIP FLY INTO IS A SHIP THAT was CARRYING THE orokins TI THE VOID FOR PROTECTION BUT DIDENT MAKE IT.
also Lephantis the boss you fight to get nekros was made to fight in the old war
in the first cutscene of the game, our warframe (Excalibur) wake up in the transference state. thus unaware of their bodies and solely aware of the warframe, with no prior memory and the pod closed in around them and since transference as a process seems to be rather absolutely from a sensory standpoint
The warframes themselves were Orokin made, and some suspect the warframes had been invented/discovered prior to the Tenno but Only a Tenno can wield it with any measure of efficiency as only a Tenno can withstand Transference. as shown in The Silver Grove when an orokin attempted to use transference. It didn't end very well for her.
The Tenno inside the reservoir tenno is woken up from cryo the same time your first warframe emerges from it's cryopod.
so to make this long story short, the orkin are a humanoid faction in the future. that got into a war with the sentients which were an alien race that attacked the orkin. every weapon they used on the sentients were taken and used agents them in the war. untill they had to go to desprate mesures buy running to the void. thier in the void they unleashed the Tenno with they called The devil and monsters. the tenno pushed the sentients out of the system with the warframes they have now acquired. after that, they wanted to kill the tenno cause they see how powerful they were. but lotus put us in the void with Lua and well as the warframe itself until lotus sees that there is a new war about to begin and she brings you out of cryo to help win.
one last fact about Excalurbur is that the symbols on his head and arms read (hayden Tenno)
hayden tenno is the name of a character in another game called dark sector that digital extreme games. in this game we see ( what is the Excalibur first appearance in a game this game was made in 2008. warframe wasn't made till 2013 and people speculate that Hayden Tenno is the stalker cause in the game dark sector Hayden Tenno was assigned to clean up after the operational messes left all over the globe. Whether an agent went down or failed an assignment, Tenno had to go in and tie up all the loose ends.
