Backyard Snowboard Park 2022 by Michael Pageau
Here is the 2022 version of the backyard snowboard park. This year I spent a lot of time trying to make really beautiful shots with snow, sun, and shadows. The video includes about 70 tricks in approximately 4 mins. All the shots are original takes with no repeats and took place mostly in January and February of 2022. By early January I didn't even think that snow park 4.0 was even gonna happen with little to no snow in our area. Then we got hit with one of several Nor'easter storms and laterally overnight the snow park was born.
Each year I always feel like I have found the limits of what the park can offer, and then you find a new variation or combination of an old trick that brings another level. I also did more core training in the off season to increase my strength for completing more dynamic tricks. The airs are a lot higher and the tricks are more difficult with various versions of grabs and rotation. I am sporting the Santa beard this year to stay warm in the winter cold. I have always wanted to use the song "surf rock" to make a snowboard, skateboard, or surfing video so here we go.
