People in Belgium are quick to complain about wet weather, but not Shoko Igarashi. The new single Rainy is an ode to joy & nostalgia for her humid hometown of Tsuruoka, Japan.
The song starts out with a drizzle and ends in a deluge of dance vibrations. Refreshing & recharging, Rainy comes along to wash away the dreary dirt and renew the colors in the vibrant multicolor city. Rhythmic raindrops, splashed with multi linguistic melodies, lead us along to inaugurate a new uplifting musical genre "Onsen Music" created by Shoko to name her new album coming out this fall.
The release of Rainy is accompanied by a video by the artist Eri Sasaki. Like two rivers that meet after the downpour, the two artists converged for the creation of a visual adaptation of this celebration of mother nature's showers.
