Boeing 757 Catfish Take Off
A seemingly incongruous sight is a Boeing jetliner with canards up front—but the Boeing 757-200 Catfish airliner was exactly that. The Boeing Catfish 757 was built in 1998 primarily as a test bed for Lockheed Martin F22 Raptor’s Avionics testing and sensor integration. The canard was fitted above the cockpit to simulate the F-22/F-35 wing sensor layout. The Catfish had a forward protruding nose section with radar and other systems.
