1987 -Birmingham Superprix - Mario Hytten accident
Mario Hytten was on a fantastic run through the F3000 field at the 1987 Birmingham Superprix.
He was about to overtake Steven Andskar for 11th place on the outside but Hytten was on the dirty side of the first corner and went off wide into the tyre wall on the 5th lap.
The video clip shows his retirement from the race after a superb run in his Racetech 3000 Ralt.
