1987 - Birmingham Superprix - Mauricio Gugelmin accident
During the warm-u session on the raceday of the 1987 F3000 race at the Birmingham Superprix.
Polesitter, Mauricio Gugelmin approached the difficult Pye chicane (built out of a roundabout) and he smoted the barriers and as a result, he cracked the tub in his Ralt.
He went on to finished 3rd in his spare car at the end of the F3000 race.
