It took me weeks to finally come up with something, and this project changed a lot over that time, it went from something very sweet to vague ideas with different songs (I even almost started working with "rêverie" by Debussy) to what it is now.
I guess the piano doesn't disturb me as much as it used to...? Or maybe it's just the whole aesthetic of it, I'm not sure.
I've been wanting to focus on Jungkook and Yoongi specifically for a long time, and I'm glad this didn't end up as a basic video of the two. This is so chaotic and fragmented; hell. I love it.
They're both on the edge in the hyyh story, on the edge of the question of life and death, it's just shown differently; depression, hollowness isn't something that you see but something you feel. I guess that was my starting point for this project.
The song I've chosen (a masterpiece while we're at it) is not necessarily about a breakup with someone else, but it's also a breakup with your own self. That's what I really loved about this album, both apply, and what I wanted to show here was the struggle of both the characters of Yoongi and of Jungkook with each other and with themselves.
They both mean a great deal to me for several reasons? And by them that implies their characters and their real selves, too.
I really LOVE all my latest videos, I can feel myself more in them and everything is more genuine, kind of unbridled, more free than it used to be.
BTS' latest album... with all the melodies, the lyrics... it's helped a lot and it's very relatable, I definitely recommend it!
