6.0 Powerstroke - Lifters & What A Good Used Lifter Looks Like
Here is a quick video going over the lifters that were in my 6.0 powerstroke engine. My lifters were still in good working order so I inspected and cleaned them to reuse on my rebuild. I have the 6.4 push rods which are shorter than the 6.0 rods and I am also considering a stage 1 cam which is a OEM cam that is reground with better flow in mind. One thing changed is the lope for the lifter on the cam, it is ground down some reducing the lifter failure chance further. So check your lifters out of your 6.0 powerstroke and make sure they don't have any scratches and are a smooth mirror finish. If this is the case with your lifters then they are probably like my and I am going to reuse mine.
