This is how you become free from the recognition of others…
Whose recognition, praise, and appreciation do you still crave today? Many fathers and mothers couldn't truly praise us because they received little praise from their own parents, but rather criticism and reprimands. Are you still (subconsciously) waiting for your mom or dad to praise you for everything you've accomplished? Do you long for recognition, praise, and appreciation from your partner or family?
If so, then you're still stuck in a self-created prison. And you still do a lot to avoid being criticized or judged. If you want those around you to think kindly of you, that's human and understandable. Yet, you're still making yourself dependent on them. You may and can release yourself from your prison by choosing the following declaration of freedom and making it internally: "My dear fellow human beings! I allow you to think and say what you wish about me! Yes, I allow you to judge me. And I will not repay you in kind. Peace be with you."
