Mexico Motorcycle Adventure - Baja 400
The Baja 400 is the little brother of the famous Baja 1000.
Having always wanted to see one of the famous SCORE Baja desert races, I decided to book a plane ticket on a whim, and then figure it out from there.
Its notoriously difficult to spectate at one of these races, as they go past once, and most of the racing happens in remote locations.
After arriving in Ensenada, Baja California, I spoke to some locals and race fans, and figured out a game plan. Rent a motorbike and make my way down the coast to Erindera, to see the racing at a spectacular point where the racers come along the coast.
My cheap, poorly maintained rental motorbike managed to get me there, and I was able to capture some epic footage of the race.
I pulled up next to some spectators who graciously let me hang out under their shade, and shared a few beers with me.
The racing did not disappoint, it was epic! However, my Baja adventure wasn't over. I had a flat tire and 80km of riding to get back to Ensenada!
Some hilarious moments ensued as I navigated this obstacle!
