DSA 2024 - Adnan SLEP Proposals
Budget 2024 listed an allocation for the first batch of 60 units of the Army's ACV-300 to enter SLEP. Two companies, Mildef and DEFTECH showcased their proof of concept proposals at DSA'24. This is the second time Mildef previewed their concept proposal to the public, with a slightly bigger horsepower engine than the DEFTECH proposal. Aside from the communication and navigation system listed, the exterior of both vehicles is mounted with a 360 situation awareness system. Here DEFTECH's holistic proposal ventures further by linking their SR-10 VTOL drone and Spy'Ball IMINT system with the Adnan to detect threats within at a distance.
The Army have tested both designs and the news is that the outcome will be made known in the third quarter of the year. Advance as it is, these proposals still need to withstand the biggest hurdle ahead, being able to fit the government budget.
