Storm chasing Queensland as I travel through the Darling Downs capturing dramatic lightning, storm structure, infrared photography and cinematic landscapes. Using a Sony A7R IV, I document the entire storm chase from calm rural scenes to intense night lightning photography, all filmed POV on a DJI Osmo Action 6. All photos are processed using DXO PhotoLab 9, DXO Nik Collection and DXO ViewPoint 5 and Affinity 3.

In this video, I begin near Jondaryan, photographing a peaceful rural landscape featuring a classic Queensland windmill before heading south into building storms. Near Mount Tyson, I capture a distant storm over a sorghum crop, experimenting with infrared photography using a modified Canon 1100D with a 720nm filter.
As the storms intensify, I continue south to Millmerran, where I intercept an extremely lightning-active system and photograph multiple strikes well into the night. To finish the chase, I head back north to Dalby, capturing an incredible crawler lightning strike along a road beside the railway tracks.
