Oak St. Fire: 8-4-20
Carbondale Fire Department was dispatched for a structure fire at an apartment building, on E. Oak St. Upon arrival, smoke and flames were showing on the second floor. The fire was out within 10 minutes of the initial call. One resident was taken to the hospital due to injuries sustained in the fire. A Box Alarm was issued, which in turn called in every available Carbondale firefighter and Murphysboro Fire Department to the scene.
