Part 2 in a new series of videos I'm putting together aimed at introducing the topic of geographical information systems (GIS) for geography teachers. The videos are designed to introduce the topic of GIS in short, easily digestible chunks and will be made up of a combination of theory and practical exercises.

I have started this series in response to a number of requests I've had in the past from geography teachers who want to introduce GIS to their students, but aren't quite sure where to start. geographical information systems can be an incredibly powerful tool for engaging with a whole range of topics across both human and physical geography, and are actually quite simple to get started with once you understand a few basic concepts.
